Q: What do you like about art?  What makes you want to create art?

A: I would just say that the art in general, like, I love how it makes you feel. There’s so many different things you can portray through art, you can do emotions, just physical things, and moreso ideas.  I just really like seeing everybody else’s art, getting ideas off of that. And...I like the idea of creating something unique to me to express myself, and others enjoying it.  

 

Q: What do you hope to achieve in making art?

A: I have to say, a goal of mine, from as long as I can remember, really, is to someday have a booth at an art festival or something.  So something that I hope to achieve is create something that both myself and others like.

 

Q: How would you define being an artist?

A: Hm...I feel like there are many different definitions, but in the most general sense, someone who makes art.  Someone who just expresses themselves through some artistic outlet. Physical, painting or drawing, or musical, theatrical.  

 

Q: What advice would you give to others who are interested in art?

A: Just the classic “practice”.  I know a lot of times people think “Oh, my art’s not good enough, so why should I draw because I don’t want people to look at it and think, ‘I could do better than that’" so just keep going for it.  Do what you want to do and have fun. If you’re not having fun, why...well that [having fun] is the point of it in the first place.
